Joshua, an exceptionally talented performer originally from Greenwich, is set to bring his energy and passion to Bradford on the Hairspray UK & Ireland Tour from 25th to 30th November. His journey to this moment has been marked by hard work, perseverance, and career-defining roles.
Joshua trained at the prestigious BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology—an institution known for producing stars like Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Jessie J. His career took off with his West End debut in the original cast of Disney’s Newsies, an experience that set the stage for his future successes.
Since then, Joshua has become a rising star in the West End, notably joining the 2023 production of Crazy For You at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, directed by multi-Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. This role allowed him to refine his craft under exceptional guidance. But it’s with Hairspray, the show that first launched his career, that Joshua is experiencing a true full-circle moment. Having originally joined the cast in 2020, he rejoined Hairspray in 2023, facing the challenge of learning the entire show in just one week before the tour’s next stop.
“I never imagined I’d return to Hairspray after my first experience, and now, having the chance to do it all again has been surreal,”
“The show really helped launch my career, and getting to come back and relive it has been a humbling and exciting experience.”

But Bradford audiences will see just one chapter in Joshua’s unfolding story. In 2025, he’ll move to New York to join Candace Brown’s Soul Project Dance Company, known for working with major stars like Beyoncé and Nicole Scherzinger. Adding to this exciting future, Joshua recently signed with the renowned talent agency McDonald Selznick Associates (MSA), joining the ranks of top choreographers and performers worldwide.
This is only the beginning for Joshua, and Bradford audiences are in for a treat!
