Leeds Foster Carers Celebrated on ‘Every Parent Day’ Ahead of Mother’s Day

A Leeds fostering agency is celebrating its foster carers’ dedication ahead of Mother’s Day. Swiis Foster Care is recognising the invaluable contributions of foster carers who provide loving homes and support to children and young people in care, with a special celebration morning called ‘Every Parent Day’.

This special day, observed before Mother’s Day in the UK, acknowledges that fostering is a role embraced by people from all walks of life and that it’s not just mothers who foster.

To mark this occasion, Swiis Foster Care presented their Leeds foster carers with daffodils and chocolates at a special ‘Every Parent Day’ coffee morning as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

Claire Hobson, Registered Manager for Swiis Foster Care Yorkshire, said

“Our foster carers go above and beyond every day to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children. Their dedication and compassion are at the heart of Swiis’s success, and we are immensely grateful for their contributions.

“Each foster carer brings unique strengths and qualities to their role, creating a diverse and supportive community that truly embodies the spirit of ‘Every Parent Day.’ We are committed to supporting them in every way possible and celebrating their remarkable achievements.”

Swiis Foster Care remains committed to providing the support, training, and guidance to ensure their foster carers are equipped for the role of fostering and ensuring the outcomes for the children in their care remain outstanding.

At the end of March 2024, there were 42,615 fostering households in England* with a growing deficit of foster carers. Driven by the need for more foster carers across the UK, Swiis Foster Care is committed to recruiting a greater number of foster carers in Leeds and beyond who will be appropriately trained and supported to excel in their new fostering career.
