Spanish Spoken Word Artist to Conclude UK Tour in Leeds

Spanish spoken word artist Msb Mario “El Niño de la Pili” will bring his first UK tour to a close with a performance at Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds on Friday 31 July.

The artist will appear at the Headingley Lane venue following performances in London, Newcastle and Brighton.

His live show combines spoken word, storytelling, original music, live vocals and visual elements to create a performance that sits between poetry, theatre and an intimate concert.

Mario, who is originally from El Montserrat in Reus, Spain, has developed his work through performances across Europe. His Leeds appearance will feature Spanish guitar, live rhythms and sound created during the performance.

Rather than relying on a large production, the show is built around the interaction between the artist, his stories and the audience.

The Leeds date marks the final performance of Mario’s first tour of the UK before he returns to Spain.

Hyde Park Book Club regularly hosts live music, theatre, poetry, exhibitions and other independent cultural events, providing a platform for both established and emerging artists.

Msb Mario “El Niño de la Pili” will perform at Hyde Park Book Club, Leeds, on Friday 31 July. The performance begins at 7.30pm.
