The Best Bottomless Brunches in Leeds: Your Weekend Sorted!

0

Right then, let’s talk about one of my favourite Leeds pastimes: the bottomless brunch! It’s pretty much become a weekend staple around here, hasn’t it? That perfect mix of tasty mid-morning food and drinks that just keep on coming for a set time. Whether it’s for a birthday, a big catch-up with mates, or just because you fancy making your weekend a bit special, Leeds has got some cracking places to get your brunch on. We’re talking prosecco, mimosas, creative cocktails – you name it – alongside everything from a classic eggs benny to some really inventive dishes, and even pizza! So, let me tell you about a few spots I reckon do it really well, including some new ones I’ve heard great things about.

So, What Makes a Bottomless Brunch Actually Good?

For me, a brilliant bottomless brunch comes down to a few key things.

  • Good Grub: Obviously, the food has to be decent, right? I want a good choice of brunch dishes that actually taste good and look like someone’s made an effort.
  • Drinks That Flow: This is crucial! If they say “bottomless,” they need to be on it with the top-ups. Nobody wants to be waving their empty glass around for ages. Usually, you get about 90 minutes or two hours for this.
  • Decent Drink Options: I like a bit of choice. Prosecco is always a winner, but it’s nice when they have mimosas, bellinis, or even some specific cocktails or beers. And good non-alcoholic options are a big plus for anyone not drinking.
  • A Bit of Atmosphere: It needs to feel like a bit of an event! Lively, fun, and welcoming – that’s the vibe I’m after.
  • Feeling Like You Got Your Money’s Worth: At the end of it all, you want to feel like it was a worthwhile treat, don’t you?

My Go-To (and New-To-Me!) Spots for Bottomless Brunch in Leeds:

Just a heads-up before we dive in: you really need to book a bottomless brunch, often well in advance, especially for popular places. And always double-check the current deals, prices, time limits, and what’s on the menu directly with the venue when you book, as these things can change.

  • Neighbourhood (Greek Street is a popular one): If you’re after a bit of a party vibe with your brunch, Neighbourhood is usually buzzing. It’s quite stylish inside, often has good music, and they usually have a decent range of cocktails as well as the classic prosecco. I’ve had some lively afternoons there.
  • Manahatta (Merrion Street, Greek Street, Headingley – they’re dotted about): For a taste of New York, Manahatta’s bottomless brunch is always popular. Their dishes have that American feel, and they’ve got a good selection of drinks. It’s usually got a good, busy atmosphere.
  • Dirty Martini (City Centre): Now, as you’d expect from a cocktail bar, Dirty Martini often shines with its drink selection for a bottomless brunch. You get a much wider choice of cocktails alongside your prosecco, and they serve the food in these cute “birdcages.” It feels a bit different.
  • Cuckoo (Call Lane): I’ve heard Cuckoo is a bit of a wild one for bottomless brunch! They do “crazy cocktails” and free handmade pizzas, which sounds like a proper fun and indulgent combo. Their Instagram (@cuckooleeds) is usually the place to look for booking info.
  • Sky Lounge Leeds: If you fancy your bottomless brunch with a view and some “endless cocktails,” Sky Lounge sounds like it could be the one. They promise delicious food and good vibes on weekends, which sounds like a pretty sophisticated way to brunch. You can usually find them @skylounge__leeds on Insta.
  • Mean-Eyed Cat (Merrion Street area): This sounds like fun – apparently, at their bottomless brunch, you can roll a die for a chance to get your brunch for free! That definitely adds a bit of excitement to the usual proceedings. They’re on Instagram as @themeaneyedcat.
  • Hoist House (Wellington Place): For something in the Wellington Place area, Hoist House offers bottomless brunch Monday to Saturday, which is a bit different. I’ve seen they take bookings via email, so worth checking out if you’re around that end of town. (@hoisthouse)
  • The Soap Factory (Kirkgate): These guys seem to do bottomless brunch on specific dates, including Bank Holiday Fridays and Sundays, and get this – it’s often for 3 hours of free-flowing Prosecco! That’s a bit longer than most. Keep an eye on @soapfactoryleeds for dates.
  • Drag Brunch Leeds: Now this sounds like a proper party! They combine bottomless drinks, a brunch buffet, and drag performances in what they call a festival atmosphere. Tickets seem to be available via their Instagram (@dragbrunchleeds) and I can imagine it sells out fast!
  • IF Up North (various locations, one with a rooftop): If you’re a spritz lover, IF Up North is apparently the place to be for bottomless brunch, and one of their spots boasts the “best rooftop bar in Leeds.” Sunshine and spritzes? Yes, please. (@ifupnorth)
  • Browns Brasserie & Bar (The Light): If you fancy something a bit more classic and maybe a touch more relaxed, Browns is a good shout. It’s in an elegant brasserie setting, and I’ve found their brunch to be quite sophisticated, usually with prosecco or bellinis.
  • Slug & Lettuce (various locations): You can usually rely on Slug & Lettuce for an affordable and popular bottomless brunch. They generally have a good choice of food and drink, and it’s often a go-to if you’re in a group and want something straightforward and fun.
  • Banyan (City Square & Roundhay): Banyan’s another one I’ve had good experiences at. The places look smart, the menus usually have plenty of choice, and it strikes a nice balance between tasty food, good drinks, and a pleasant vibe. My mate Sophie T. said, “We had an amazing bottomless brunch at Banyan for my friend’s birthday. The food was great, the drinks kept flowing, and it was just a really fun afternoon.” Sounds about right to me!
  • Revolución de Cuba (Call Lane): For something with a bit of a Latin flavour, Revs de Cuba is great fun. They do Cuban-inspired dishes and a good mix of cocktails (rum-based ones, naturally!), prosecco, and it often turns into a bit of a party.
  • Fleur Restaurant & Bar (The Light): You can’t miss Fleur – the floral decor is everywhere! It’s definitely one for the Instagrammers. The bottomless brunch usually looks as good as the surroundings, with popular dishes and drinks.

A Few Things I Always Check When Booking (Especially This Summer!):

  • How long do you actually get? Most places give you 90 minutes or 2 hours from when your booking starts, but some, like The Soap Factory, might offer longer!
  • What drinks are actually included? Some are just prosecco, others have cocktails or beer – always good to know.
  • What’s on the food menu? Make sure there’s something everyone in your group will fancy.
  • When’s last orders for drinks? Good to be aware of, so you don’t miss out.
  • And obviously… drink responsibly! It’s easy to get carried away when it’s “free-flowing,” but nobody wants to be that person.

Leeds does have a brilliant bottomless brunch scene, with something for pretty much everyone. Happy brunching!
