A first-time buyer from York is celebrating a double milestone after winning a £10,000 holiday voucher just months after reserving his first home.
Will Jennings, 24, an airline pilot, has been named the winner of a nationwide competition run by Miller Homes. The prize draw was open to visitors at Miller Homes developments across the UK, and Will was picked at random from hundreds of entrants to receive a holiday voucher for Virgin Holidays.
The win comes just months after Will reserved his first home, marking a double milestone as he takes his first steps onto the property ladder and plans a luxury getaway.
Will purchased a three-bedroom detached home in Copmanthorpe, near York, the village where he grew up. He was supported by Miller Homes’ 5% deposit contribution and selected a number of optional upgrades to personalise his new home before moving in.
“We’re absolutely delighted for Will, and thrilled that the winning ticket came from right here in our region,” said Debbie Whittingham, Regional Sales Director at Miller Homes Yorkshire.

A Copmanthorpe resident all his life, Will was delighted when Miller Homes launched their Knights Manor development as it gave him a chance to stay in the village where he grew up, take a first step onto the property ladder and enjoy living in an energy efficient, low maintenance home.
“It’s been quite a few months for me, buying my first home, moving from my family home and winning this amazing prize!” said Will.
“The Miller Homes team were so helpful from the beginning and a special mention should go to Irene, Development Sales Manager, and her colleagues who were so supportive and friendly from the first time I visited.
“I couldn’t believe it when I was told,” he said.
“Now I can’t wait to settle in and decide where in the world to go with the voucher.”
The competition was hosted across Miller Homes developments throughout the UK and all visitors to developments were invited to leave their contact details to be entered into the prize draw.
